The Rougaroux™ RFA15 Premium 5.56 NATO Rifle represents the 2026–2027 evolution of the Rougaroux™ Firearms RFA15 platform, combining mil-spec-style design and ergonomics with a carefully balanced blend of performance, reliability, and value. Built with continuous attention to detail, the RFA15 Premium Line brings together high-quality rifle components at a practical price point while maintaining the dependable performance and refined feel expected from Rougaroux™ Firearms.
The US SOCOM-profile barrel features a 5.56 NATO chamber, mid-length gas system, 1/7 twist rate, 1/2×28 barrel threads, a .750 gas block journal, and an 11-degree barrel crown. Weighing 29.97 oz., it also includes a chrome-lined bore and a time-tested mil-spec phosphate coating for proven durability.
The included BCG has a proven track record for dependability. Each bolt is High-Pressure Tested (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to help ensure reliable performance and consistent operation. The bolt itself is made from Carpenter 158 steel, creating a hard, wear-resistant outer surface while maintaining a tough, shock-absorbing core.
The RFA15 features a balanced gas system, including a melonite-coated gas block and gas tube designed to complement the performance capabilities of the SOCOM barrel. Paired with a heavy carbine buffer spring and a reliable H2 buffer, these components work together to minimize felt recoil while maintaining dependable cycling, even in adverse conditions.
On a limited run of five rifles, the installed muzzle device is the Shift Zero Ballistics™ Eclipse 3-Prong Twisted Muzzle Device, designed to help tame recoil and support improved control. Other muzzle devices and brakes used include the KAK Industry Compensator, which has an overall length of 1.750 inches, the same as an A2 birdcage, and weighs 2.08 oz. It is heat-treated for strength and durability, phosphate-coated for corrosion resistance, and features milled flats for easy installation or removal. Fully precision-machined, this compensator is designed with a closed end and upward-oriented ports.
The RFA15 Premium Line delivers crispness where it counts with an Enhanced Polished Trigger, built from a standard single-stage, government-style fire control group and upgraded for a smoother, more refined feel. The contact surfaces are finely polished, then the hammer and trigger are coated in a super-slick nickel finish, resulting in a trigger that feels substantially smoother than mil-spec and making it a standout Rougaroux™ upgrade. Better-than-mil-spec controls, including the mil-spec-look ambidextrous safety and Rougaroux™ charging handle, work alongside a standard magazine release and bolt catch to provide a familiar feel with improved interface and control of the platform.
Finishing out the Rougaroux™ RFA15 Premium 5.56 NATO Rifle is the Rougaroux™-designed handguard, featuring lightened port holes, M-LOK attachment slots, and anti-rotation tabs that enhance the balance and ergonomic feel the RFA15 is built to be known for. Handling is further improved with the Magpul MOE grip, complete with a trapdoor for storing tools, an optics polishing rag, or even your favorite flavor of Skittles.
