Built around mil-spec-style design, familiar ergonomics, and dependable performance, the RFA15™ Mid-line delivers a balanced combination of reliability, control, and value. Every rifle is assembled with close attention to component selection, fit, and function, bringing together quality parts at a practical price point while maintaining the refined feel expected from Rougaroux™ Firearms.
At the core of the rifle is a 416R stainless steel barrel chambered in 5.56 NATO. The barrel features a mid-length gas system, 1:7 twist rate, M4 barrel extension, A2-style profile, and a .750″ gas block journal. The 1/2×28 muzzle threads are fitted with a KAK Industries compensator featuring a closed-end design, upward-oriented ports, and milled flats for straightforward installation or removal when needed.
The included bolt carrier group is built for consistent, dependable operation. Each bolt is High-Pressure Tested (HPT) and Magnetic Particle Inspected (MPI) to support reliable performance. The bolt is manufactured from 9310 steel and paired with an 8620 steel carrier, creating a durable combination designed for wear resistance, strength, and long service life. Grade 8 gas key screws are heat-treated for hard use, and the gas key is hydraulically staked for added security.
The RFA15™ Mid-line uses a balanced gas system designed to complement the performance of the 416R stainless steel barrel. Its low-profile gas block is machined from steel, finished in black parkerizing, and secured with dual set screws for a solid, reliable fit. Paired with a heavy carbine buffer spring and H2 buffer, the system is tuned to help reduce felt recoil while maintaining dependable cycling across a wide range of conditions.
Each Rougaroux™ RFA15™ Mid-line Rifle is equipped with the KAK Industries compensator, designed to help manage recoil and improve control. With an overall length of 1.750″, matching the length of an A2 birdcage, and a weight of 2.08 oz., the compensator offers a compact, practical profile. It is heat-treated for strength, phosphate-coated for corrosion resistance, and precision-machined with a closed end, upward-oriented ports, and milled flats for easy serviceability.
The RFA15™ Mid-line delivers a crisp, controlled trigger feel through the Rougaroux™ Pro Line single-stage curved trigger. Featuring a 3.5 lb pull weight and phosphate finish, this government-style fire control group is matched and refined for a smoother, more consistent break than standard mil-spec components. Finely machined contact surfaces and durable phosphate coating give the trigger a noticeably improved feel, making it a standout upgrade within the Rougaroux™ platform.
Controls are designed to remain familiar while improving interface and usability. The rifle includes a mil-spec-look ambidextrous safety, An AMBI Rougaroux™ charging handle, standard magazine release, and standard bolt catch, giving shooters a clean, intuitive control layout with enhanced handling where it matters.
Finishing the rifle is the Rougaroux™-designed handguard, featuring lightened port cuts, M-LOK attachment slots, and anti-rotation tabs to improve balance, rigidity, and ergonomics. Handling is further enhanced by the Die Free Co. Kung Fu Grip, giving the rifle a confident, modern feel.
